Decorating That Little Hall Space

I want to share with you this great addition to my little hall
way leading out to the garage.
My mawmaw (southern word for grandmother) lived to be 100.
After she passed away the family was cleaning out her things when my aunt came across these.

I call them "STATE PLATES" , I'm sure that is not the proper name. My aunt mentioned that my mawmaw always collected them when she went on a trip. She wanted my pawpaw (Southern name for grandfather) to hang them around her kitchen. Well he never did so they were in a cabinet above her refrigerator.
No one showed interest in wanting them and they were going to Good Will. Well I could not let that happen. When I got home my husband, just like my pawpaw, did not want me to have more "junk" much less hang them.
I hung them with plate hangers on each side of the little hallway. They are hung high above the doors (bath and utility). so that they do not get knocked off.
Sometimes I tear up when I head out to work and see my little treasures.

Well mawmaw your plates are hung and treasured with love......
 Don't they look great here?

I LOVE state plates! That's what I call them too! What a treasure for you.
I have been collecting ones from all the states that hubby and I have lived in during our lives and have them hung on a wall at our lake house. I'll have to post a picture sometime! I actually still need four more and I scour ebay for the ones I need! I think they are so neat!

They are adorable the way you hung them, and of course you could not let them go to good will.

Hello, sweet tart ~
No, the potato pancakes are not sweet; they are already seasoned in a mix and you can add salt and pepper as desired. No syrup. I believe the brand is called Manischweitz. You can find it in the Kosher aisle of the grocer. My daughter and I absolutely love them!
