The Shack

WOW WHAT CAN I SAY, THIS BOOK WILL CHANGE THE WAY YOU THINK...
Thanks to a blogger friend,(sorry can not remember whose) I went out and bought this book. It was such a
great read, now everyone at my office is reading it and we want to have a
discussion about it.
I can not explain this book because I believe it will touch each one of you differently. Let me know what you think...

I listened to the audio of this book and at first thought the author took way too many liberties. But after the third time hearing it I did like it, A LOT! I got the book itself for Christmas and plan to re-read it!

It is an awesome book to open discussions and see where God leads you with it. It takes Him out of "the box" so many of us unintentionally put Him in. There are plenty who have negative things to say about it - it's not doctrinely sound, etc but if you're looking for a book to shake up how you see God, it's great. If you're looking for a book on God's character, remember the Bible... :)

The book certainly makes you think. I liked how the book described God, but it left me asking "but what about ___" in a few areas. I would love to see a sequel that would address some of the questions readers ask.

Hey Missy,
I LOVED "The Shack" and my husband loved it and then I mailed it off to a Minister friend of ours and HE LOVED it as well......it's a bit "out of the box."
Which is fine.
Thanks for mentioning it.
