Mardi Gras Mumbo

Just like grits and boiled crawfish, Mardi Gras is part of the southern tradition. So just like grits or boiled crawfish if you like it or not it is here all around. Here are a few pictures from a day trip to visit my sister in-law and her family. They took us to a local Mardi Gras parade.

This is our precious little niece Avery having a great time...

This was a cute couple that let me take their picture.

Wow! Love the guy! Did you know my hometown, St. Louis, is second only to New Orleans for Mardi Gras parades? We do like to party! I baked my first King Cake yesterday for the event!

Wow...were they throwing hotties from the floats? Now, that's the parade I should have gone too. We go to Hammond every year for theirs. My sister lives there and hosts a big ol' block party for about 70 people. So fun!
