So Easy, So Fabulous, Fruit Dip

You have got to make my fruit dip for Easter. You will be the hit of the party!
This recipe has been in our family so long, not really sure where my mom received it.

You will need....

One jar of marshmallow cream (Sm Jar , I think is 12 OZ)

One cream cheese (8 OZ)

Teaspoon of vanilla OR almond extract

Food color if you like (we always added a drop of red so it will be pink)

Let the cream cheese get soft. In medium bowl, blend the cream cheese and the marshmallow cream with the mixer on slow . It may take a few minutes, but you want it to be smooth, no lumps of cream cheese.

**TIP You may want to stop the mixer after a few seconds and get a spoon to get the cream cheese and marshmallow out of the beaters. Add in the vanilla and a shot of food coloring. Do not over mix, it only take a few minutes. WA LA you are done.

**TIP To keep your apples from turning brown. Save your pineapple juice in a little bowl. Dip your apple slices in the pineapple juice. Lay them on a few paper towels to drain. Put into the refrigerator until ready to serve.

CAUTION --- I have witnessed children and adults dipping there fingers in the bowl to eat it ...Its that darn good.

I will be out of town, so there will be no Friday Inspiration, but please leave me a comment on how your family likes this dip....May you all have a blessed and peaceful Easter.

Missy, I have actually made this dip before. And you are right, most people could just eat the dip alone! Have a Happy Easter. :)

Holy cow, sounds so delish. Hubby would shoot me if I bring anything marshmellow into this house. I always wondered why he hated marshmellows and cool whip.. maybe it's something to do with his childhood.

Love recipes indeed. You enjoy the holiday and have a safe trip. Can't wait to read about your adventures.

Hugs n kisses

YUM!! I just made this last night for a version is just the marshmallow whip combined with strawberry cream cheese and then serve with strawberries. It took all the will power I had not to eat it all u by myself! I'm trying your version next time!

I LOVE this dip! And did you know you can do the same thing with apple slices and sprite? When I was a Pampered Chef Consultant I had to find a way to keep my apple slices fresh, and found out that dipping them in a bowl of sprite keeps them nice and fresh!

Thanks for the recipe and the tip!

Have a Happy Easter!

This is the best dip ever. And you can use it with everything. Our family totally loves this dip. We have used it with fruit and veggies, brownies, cookies, etc! So delish! I also love putting it into mini tupperware containers and taking it with us on long trips. I have bags of already cut up fruits to go along with it. Totally great on the go and keeps the kids quiet while they are eating it! ;)

Our lower fat version is also delicious, though certainly not the same. We take a carton of lowfat whip cream and mix a carton of any flavor of yogurt! It's much lighter and leaves you with no guilt...probably we make this the most right about now, as we are contemplating swimsuit season!
