The Shack

WOW WHAT CAN I SAY, THIS BOOK WILL CHANGE THE WAY YOU THINK...
Thanks to a blogger friend,(sorry can not remember whose) I went out and bought this book. It was such a
great read, now everyone at my office is reading it and we want to have a
discussion about it.
I can not explain this book because I believe it will touch each one of you differently. Let me know what you think...

Decorating That Little Hall Space

I want to share with you this great addition to my little hall
way leading out to the garage.
My mawmaw (southern word for grandmother) lived to be 100.
After she passed away the family was cleaning out her things when my aunt came across these.

I call them "STATE PLATES" , I'm sure that is not the proper name. My aunt mentioned that my mawmaw always collected them when she went on a trip. She wanted my pawpaw (Southern name for grandfather) to hang them around her kitchen. Well he never did so they were in a cabinet above her refrigerator.
No one showed interest in wanting them and they were going to Good Will. Well I could not let that happen. When I got home my husband, just like my pawpaw, did not want me to have more "junk" much less hang them.
I hung them with plate hangers on each side of the little hallway. They are hung high above the doors (bath and utility). so that they do not get knocked off.
Sometimes I tear up when I head out to work and see my little treasures.

Well mawmaw your plates are hung and treasured with love......
 Don't they look great here?

Cell Phone Crazy

Need a new cell phone ?

Buyer beware or maybe it is just me stepping out into the REAL world.

I always get my kids junk phone cause when an upgrade comes along they want the new bells and whistles (well ring and beep).

I lost my phone at the camp, so I had to get a new one.

Can I tell you people it is like buying a dang car. The sales person tries to rope you in on every

feature available to the cellphone kingdom.

The phone I wanted ,Blackberry Pearl ...sales person said I had to have Internet to get that one.. Well can't afford that with a kid in college and a 15 year old boy about to embark on the road called INSURANCE. So one hour and twenty min.s into only a one hour lunch break , I walked out with see photo above... My son informed me it might be to hard for me to figure out, so I should give it to him and take his old phone. NO WAY ....I might be old, but I want to look cool in the new year too...

A New Start

The New Year is great. Most people focus on the new year as giving us the opportunity to change. You may want to start over on things that were not accomplished during the last year.

I would rather reflect on the things I did get right over the past year.
I started a new career path. Gave my children one more year worth of life's lessons. Bought land and a second home for us to retire to one day. Lost 10 pounds (thats not alot ,but it is to someone who has never been able to lose.) You know life is really good.
May you reflect on 08 with a smile and let the New Year bring peace and much happiness to your family.

Good bye 08 and hello 09! Much Love, Missy
