Blackberry ?

I want to include a little 'Did You Know' at the beginning of each post....
Did You Know ... Blackberries - 1/2 cup has 5.0 grams of fiber compared to an apple that has 4.0 grams. Recommened grams per day are 25-40 grams

I am bored...
How many times do we as parents hear this over the summer?
School has only been out two days and already I have heard this comment.
The worse part to admit is my child is 15, you would think with all the techno. things
out there he would never get this way. For goodness sake he has a Blackberry Curve phone that can text some one 24/7 and even log on to the internet.

On my morning walk at the 'cottage-camp' I spotted Blackberries, so as soon as I heard those dreaded words....I'M BORED I moved into action. I told him to come with me. Long story short, we picked berries all morning. He had so much fun. Like I've said in past post , it is the small things that bring the most happiness. These blackberries were even FREE.

House Project Two

Well you can not call last weekends' work a big project...I guess the whole thing in general is a PROJECT. As you can see by the pictures we (well, honey dewer) removed the shutters. I am not quite as brave as Susie with her SASSY GREEN bath, but I have decided to paint them Olive Green and the house will be Hiking Trail. I think the name of the paint fits the house so well, I just hope the color looks good. Have any of you ever had your husband say " oh you pick the color" , then when you do they look at that little chip and say "oh NOT that color " I told him he wants me to pick it so if it looks bad he can tell visitors that his wife picked the colors.

The orginal color of the house is white. But I think that would be to much. When you drive down the drive it is surrounded by the woods , and then you drive up a hill, at the top

the house sits by itself out in a opening in the woods, so I want it to blend with the surroundings.

Also we pick up a washer and dryer. Sure that will come in handy.

The last picture is of course our last two babies, man are they spoiled. They love it there because they are free to just run all over and play. Boy we ALL sleep so good there, I have not figured out if it is the crickets singing us to sleep or from being pooped from all the work.

House Project One

I want you all to come along on my new little journey...Fixing up a house!! Some of you may have read about it already on my sisters' blog.

My hubby and I bought a house and sixty four acres in our neighboring state. We have been driving up there every weekend. It is so exciting and yet scary to take on something so big. The exciting part is seeing the excitement in my hubbys eyes when he sees a deer or really any wild life. The scary part is that we don't agree on anything with the little house. He calls it the CAMP...I call it the soon to be revamped COTTAGE. So please join me on this journey and feel free to comment any ideas or advice. Step one ...HELP, we need a name for our PLACE....

BUSY BUSY

Hi to the few of you that drop in, I have been so busy with work. Now that we have another house, the weekends are packed and of course no internet way out in the country. I'm lucky if I go stand on a hill to catch phone service. Well I did come home early one Sunday to take photos for a friend of mine. Here is just a few of the 200 I took. No kidding, I took 200.

Hope everyone is having a great spring. Good Luck this weekend Sue at Canton , wish I could be there. I will be thinking of you!!!
