Inspiration Friday

Every Friday I am going to start your weekend
with a simple inspiration...Something to ponder..

You can live a lifetime and,at the end of it,
know more about other people than you know about
yourself.

- Beryl Markham

Today if you go anywhere in your car leave the radio off and just think about who you have become... Do you like who you are right now?

For so many years I carted my two children all over as a stay at home mom. Some days I would ask them to stop fighting in the back seat (now I don't think I'm the only woman that had/has this problem) I would cry out "PLEASE can we have a little peace in this car!"

Now those children are off on in their own car as I head off to a job.

I know sometimes it is hard to sit in the silence of a car. I turn the radio off, I to listen to my thoughts. This morning I prayed, then my thoughts trailed off to what have I become?...I am at peace looking forward to my Friday...I think I will turn the radio off more often.

Let me know what you think ?

{This little lizard was taken in my back yard...He crawled out, looked at me then cocked his head. Wonder what he was thinking??}

We drove down to the coast today to take the kiddos to the beach for a couple hours. It was sheer bedlam all day long. and I actually loved every single minute of it. I don't always love it, but for some reason...today my heart felt so full. I am a blessed woman!

I love the idea of Inspiration Friday! It is so nice to just turn the TV or radio off and just be quiet or actually have a conversation with your family when they are around. Right now I'm sitting here with my blinds open and only listening to the humming of my computer.

Maybe if I can get Kiddo to take a breath here and there I will have some quiet. Until then, I don't have time to think!

Seriously, when I get the chance to, like when Kiddo is with Sound Man, I do turn everything off and just listen. Listen for the Lord, listen to the birds, listen in the quiet. It's yummy. : )

I spend the time in the car talking with God and even singing to myself.. old hymns from childhood. Sure relieves a lot of stress

I do the same thing sometimes. Just to ride in silence and think and pray about the day ahead of you is wonderful, especially if you already know it's gonna be a hectic day. I can't believe you were able to take this picture. If that thing had crawled out at me, I would have been gone in a split second....ha ha
