Inspiration Friday

Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born

until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world

is born. - Aniais Nin

Have I said lately, thanks for being my blogging friend?

each one of your friendships....Have a great friday.

Shopping With Susie from Bienvenue

I had started picking out some items for a kitchen redo, but quickly became over whelmed and then we had that little weather thing called a ..HURRICANE back in the fall, so I did not get to work on it and really was dreading starting the task again.
On Friday I was lucky enough to get lunch and a shopping trip with Susie at Bienvenue. She is always so busy, but I managed to get her to give me some decorating advice for the cheap price of lunch. She helped me pick out the granite, sink, and some paint colors. My "Man in Camo" has been after me to get the kitchen redo under way, he was so happy that she helped me get it going.

The first day of spring turned out to be just a gorgeous day for us to take our time and walk around and see what is "in" this season.

This is a picture of the new shopping area, it feels like you are on a big city street.

This table setting would be so perfect for my beach home.

(NOT..I don't have a beach home).

Now this would be fabulous if you did not have children that like to eat in the living room.
Gosh just imagine a little mac n cheese on that.
Can't wait to see Susie's post on our day and get her spin on this set white set.

Now this bowl would look great on the coffee table at the camp/cottage minus those balls.

Inspiration Friday

Every Friday I am going to start your weekend
with a simple inspiration...Something to ponder..

You can live a lifetime and,at the end of it,
know more about other people than you know about
yourself.

- Beryl Markham

Today if you go anywhere in your car leave the radio off and just think about who you have become... Do you like who you are right now?

For so many years I carted my two children all over as a stay at home mom. Some days I would ask them to stop fighting in the back seat (now I don't think I'm the only woman that had/has this problem) I would cry out "PLEASE can we have a little peace in this car!"

Now those children are off on in their own car as I head off to a job.

I know sometimes it is hard to sit in the silence of a car. I turn the radio off, I to listen to my thoughts. This morning I prayed, then my thoughts trailed off to what have I become?...I am at peace looking forward to my Friday...I think I will turn the radio off more often.

Let me know what you think ?

{This little lizard was taken in my back yard...He crawled out, looked at me then cocked his head. Wonder what he was thinking??}

Natasha Richardson injured in ski accident

I was so sad to hear this story. My family just LOVES her in the Parent Trap movie. Our prayers are with her and her family. Seems she is now in critical condition. See story below...

Natasha Richardson, who was critically injured after a fall during private skiing lessons at the famed Mont Tremblant resort, didn't appear hurt and was walking around shortly after the incident.
"She did not show any visible sign of injury but the ski patrol followed strict procedures and brought her back to the bottom of the slope and insisted she should see a doctor," said a statement issued Tuesday from the resort, which is about 80 miles (128 kilometers) northwest of Montreal.
The ski resort said the instructor and a ski patrol accompanied the actress to her hotel, where they again recommended she should be seen by a doctor.
Mont Tremblant spokeswoman Catherine Lacasse said Richardson said she was fine at first.
"An hour later she said she didn't feel well. She had a headache, so we sent her to the hospital," Lacasse said. "There were no signs of impact and no blood, nothing."
An ambulance was called and Richardson was brought to the Centre Hospitalier Laurentien in Ste-Agathe and was later transferred to Hopital du Sacre-Coeur in Montreal. Richardson, who skiing on a beginners trail, was hospitalized Monday.
IrishCentral.com reported that the Tony Award-winning actress and wife of Liam Neeson suffered a head injury.

Silly Shopping

Sometimes, You Just Have To Bee Silly To See A Smile

The weather has been so nasty the last three weekends.
We decided to stay home from the camp. So Brit (my 20 year old daughter) took the opportunity to get me to go shopping with her. For those of you who really don't know me yet, I am not a big shopper...Susie my sister at Bienvenue got all the shoppin DNA.
Ok I made it through Target, Kohls, and a new store to me, TJ Max. I then called in Susie and little Madison to meet up with us. Shopping is more fun in numbers. They met up with us at the BIG mall and after three hours everyone was cranky.

Out Comes THE SILLY SISTERS...That made the girls laugh.
But I heard Brit say
"MOM you are too old to act like that!"

SILLY SISTERS

Actually I think I am gonna go back and get us the hats in the first picture. Doesn't Susie look great?

Even Madison jumped in to bee silly

Can I hear an AMEN that the weekend is almost here.

In the BIG picture it is really about the Small things..

This is a repost about how fast a life can flash right before your eyes..I was reading my old post and realized it has been a year...I wonder what happened to the young man in my story. Did this experience change him like it changed me? I am not a Blog Diva, have free stuff , or even post alot, but what I do post I do so hoping that it may make you think in a way you never thought of before, or just cock your head and say WHAT....

I took these pics. this morning...
Good Sat. morning ... It is amazing how fast a week can go by. What is really amazing is how many emotions we can cram into that tiny amount of time in our lives. This week has seen it lows and highs.

I could write a book just on the last week of my life , but instead I will just give you a glimpse.

First a very NOT so nice person ruined my Tues. afternoon and I learned how much my co-worker cared about me . She stood up for me and told this person things that I only wish to have said. And when those old emotions come up you think "I thought I was over this". Then I realized I am over it maybe he is not.....

Then on Thur. afternoon I was running late leaving work . I travel home on the interstate. There much to my HORROR was a young man laying in-between the right lane and exit ramp. About 15 feet away was his motorcycle in pieces.
(For those of you who really do not know me , my brother passed away due to an motorcycle accident.)
I was so lucky to be the one to hold his hand and comfort this young man until help arrived.
That night when I got home I wondered WHY ? WHY WAS I RUNNING LATE ? WHY?
My daughter with much wisdom at 19 , said " Mom , God did not do this to you... God put you there for him, to be his angel."
I thought about it for sometime and then it occured to me. For five years now I have tortured myself because I could not be there to hold my brothers hand.... so God let me hold someone elses hand. (That young man WAS my Angel) Now I can SMILE and move on from that little piece of baggage I have been carrying around. The young man thank God is home recovering .

And to end my week on a higher note I chose to take a promotion at work. I am hopeful that I have done the right thing....Anything with change is scary, but bring it on.....BEE HAPPY..MISSY

This post is for my sister who is feeling hurt..

Becoming Real

Once you are REAL you can't become unreal again. It lasts for always.

- Margery Williams

One of the ways we become Real without too much discomfort is by growing gradually into our authenticity. As you learn to trust the wisdom of your heart and make creative choices based on what you know is right for you, process becomes progress. You become not only Real to those who know and love you , but Real to everyone. You become authentic.
Sue you are Real to all your blogging friends...Ask your self who are you blogging for? the ones who take time to comment and purchase you art, or for that one blogger who brings you down and never comments to you? I don't need to tell you to think about it , you know in your heart you are REAL and IT LASTS ALWAYS
Have a great day ...your sister

Goin to the Big Easy

Bachelor Should Stay a Bachelor

I never watch this show, but all it took was last night to figure
it all out. I realized that it was a waste of my time to sit and watch.
How sad that Molly does not value herself more.
